![]() Originally introduced in 2010, Infinity blade was the first mobile game powered by Epic's Unreal Engine technology and is credited with forever raising the bar of mobile gaming. The update is free to those who already have the game, and for those that don’t yet, the game is on sale for $5 in the App Store. Infinity Blade is an award-winning video game series created by ChAIR, a division of Epic Games. The updated Infinity Blade II has been available for download since Wednesday night, and the first five clash mobs went live early Thursday. Infinity Blade is certainly on the path toward this, as the series has an e-book and an official soundtrack available for purchase. “I would love to blur the line between what’s a game, what’s a book, what’s a movie, what’s music - this uber, integrated entertainment experience,” Mustard said. “By blending these things together, there are whole new genres of games to invent that we've never even thought of before.”īeyond that, gaming could take on a whole new shape. “Over the next year or two, you'll the see the vast majority of games look at how they can utilize the unique features of the device - how they can use the touchscreen, GPS, the gyroscope, the front-facing camera,” Mustard said. “There’s nothing in front of you to look at as a model.” I keep pushing, keep innovating, keep staying on that bleeding edge - but the bleeding edge is scary,” Mustard said.
